Arrangements for Christmas 2021 and New Year

We ask all patients to note that from the 24th-31st December inclusive, the practice will only accept calls for urgent matters, which cannot await a routine appointment after this time. This is so we can ensure the best support  for our patients during the festive season.

Please note that during this period, GPs will not be working their normal days, and urgent matters will be allocated across the GPs working on the day of your call. This may mean that your issue will not be dealt with by your usual GP.  GPs will ask patients to call back if it is felt that the issue is routine and should wait for your usual doctor. 

Should you have any routine matters than require discussion, please contact the practice outside of these dates on your GP’s usual working day(s).

The practice will be closed on bank holidays as usual. If you have an urgent medical matter on a bank holiday, please use NHS-111 online or call 111 for advice. In a life threatening emergency call 999 for an ambulance.

e-Consult will be unavailable for ALL issues (including repeat prescriptions of contraception and HRT) from 5pm on Thursday 23rd December until 8am on Tuesday 4th January. Please do not attempt to eConsult with Alchester Medical Group during these times as you will not be able to reach us in this way.
