General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The Data Protection Act has been revised and from 25th May 2018 it became known as GDPR - General Data Protection Regulations.
The UK's post-Brexit version of the EU GDPR is the UK GDPR. It is substantially similar to the EU regulation and places simliar obligations on data controllers and processors. This came into effect at the end of the Btext transition period, 1st January 2021.
